The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, enacted by the Parliament and effective from 15 June 2005, grants access to information held by public authorities. This Act aims to foster transparency and accountability in the functioning of all public authorities.

KC Group of Research and Professional Institutes Pandoga was established in 2009 under the K.C. Educational & Social Welfare Society, located in Pandoga Uparla, Tehsil & Distt. Una (Himachal Pradesh). As it was established by a statute of the State Legislature, it qualifies as a Public Authority and falls under the purview of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005.

Procedure for Seeking Information

Information that is not legally restricted and pertains to the public affairs of this institute can be accessed by submitting a written application to the Public Information Officer (PIO).

Application Details

  • Statutory Declaration under RTI Act:The application must include the applicant's full name, address, and detailed information required, with any relevant references.
  • Language Options:Requests can be made in Hindi, English, or Punjabi.
  • Assistance:If the applicant is unable to submit a written request, the Assistant Public Information Officer can help convert an oral request into a written one.

Submission Process

  • Applications can be sent by post or delivered in person to the Administrative Office of the Institute during working hours.
  • A fee of Rs. 10/- must accompany all applications, along with documentary proof of Indian citizenship.
  • For large volumes of information, an additional fee of Rs. 2 per A4 page and actual copying costs for larger sizes must be paid by the applicant before receiving the information.
  • Payment methods: Fees can be paid via demand draft, banker’s cheque, or Indian Postal Order, payable to either KC Group of Research and Professional Institutes Pandoga or KC Educational and Social Welfare Society, Pandoga.
  • Exemption:Individuals below the poverty line are exempt from the application fee and the fee for providing the information.
